If Trump Wants To Be A “King”, We Should Treat Him Like One

 

Hear me out.  We are going about this all the wrong way.  The King of England literally does nothing regarding actual governing. That is how we should treat Trump and his royal court of idiots, abusers, and harassers, until they are voted out in 2026 or 2028, whichever applies. Then we should abolish that itsh forever, and make sure enablers of such foolishness are never in power again.

When you know and realize that there is an abuse of power going on, people in positions of authority literally are obligated to not obey unlawful orders. And with Trump, not following set procedures, or the law, that is exactly what should happen.  He and the Republicans have been taking liberties with the law and power that do not benefit as a whole, the American people; and we should isolate them by not following the unlawful orders they are proceeding to give.  Just don’t do it. Removing a woman’s right to choose is a prime example of overreach for Trump and the conservatives. Doctors should have

continued treating patients based on established norms and the Judicial system should have supported the precedent by simply stating, “no one is forced to get an abortion”. 

And, when officials like Postmaster General Louis DeJoy are clearly not operating an agency in the interest of the American people; his instructions and unlawful actions should be ignored until he is dismissed for ineptness and incompetence.  He should know that the Postal Service is a governmental service and not a business.  And the career underlings should try to keep the service running efficiently as possible even when the political appointee tries to destroy a service that has been around since 1775!

They want to fire 1000's of public servants without cause, they can’t.  Stay on your job and continue to carry on with normal governmental functions. They want to arrest people without cause, they can’t. Rules of law must be followed as established, until properly changed.  We know that at least 6 (six) Supreme Court Justices have issues with being too close to the conservative political party and possibly bribed or have accepted gifts and favors that other justices would have been fired for doing.  They are to be held by the same standards.  Their positions should make them more accountable; not less.

If we as Americans continue to operate as a sane society, we will bring those who seek to ruin our society to order and justice.  Just letting them break what has taken more than two hundred years to create is not a viable solution.  We can do better.  This nation has three distinct branches of government. We have a constitution that can be amended. Its Preamble clearly indicates that all branches should be working for the general welfare for all its people. That is the direction we should be going.
