For years it seems like Republicans have been willing to skirt the law, make up things along the way, and even test the boundaries of norms just to get their way. Democrats on the other hand, sit back and believe that just the mere law being written on paper is enough to keep the evil away.
Now that the Supreme Court has been taken over by the right wing injustices; and the House, Senate and White House have been seized by insurgents and insurrectionists, Democrats are slowly starting to see the light.
If they could stop arguing amongst themselves about why Kamala Harris and Tim Walz lost--which, I think they actually ran pretty good race, they might be able to grow a spine and make a difference for the 2026 elections.
If they could finally realize that a large percentage of the nation still have prejudices that they need to
deal with, then they could move forward with an agenda that will take America out of the Backwoods and stop looking for Republican votes that they'll never get as Democrats. If they had any sense of awareness they would realize that their party is being taken over by people who were thrown out of the Republican Party--which is one of the reasons why people don't want to join the Democrat party or the Republican Party and would rather remain Independence or Progressive because they think political parties stink.
The sooner they realize that they should be having open primaries with Rank Choice Voting, the sooner they'll find themselves in line with most of America.
In order to make progress, they should stop sniveling, stop hiding in corners, and stop tripping on their own feet. Use this time to learn how to stand up for something. Since they'll soon be out of power, they'll have all the time in the world to practice.
