Abuse of Power… And Dereliction of Duty Are a Terrible Combination

I was sitting here thinking and as I was looking over Trump’s previous presidency, and the presidency that he's about to go into. The whole thing looks like an abuse of power.  One definition of abuse of power given by the NCJRS Virtual Library is "the misuse of a position of power to take unjust advantage of individuals, organizations, or governments."

From the first day that Donald Trump took office, and even the time prior to him being elected the first time until now, everything about him and the Republicans that support him; and the people he's chosen as staff, have all been involved in a very large scheme to abuse power.

All of the crime that he has committed, all of the laws and he is broken, and the grifting he has done--everything has been an abuse of power. That's what he should have been impeached on the first time; that's what he should have been impeached on the second time; and that’s what he should be impeached on in the future because he ain’t learned shit.

He doesn’t want to do better. He hasn’t listened to council. He tries to intimidate judges and anyone

who tries to hold him accountable. He is one big abuser of power.

Now let’s talk about dereliction of duty. The judges, the judicial system, the Supreme Court, The Republicans in Congress, Merrick Garland, and even the press to some degree, all failed in holding Trump accountable for his actions. And they all should be removed from office or fired because they are not serving the American people dutifully.

When people do not do the jobs of the positions they hold, that becomes a problem for all Americans.  When people blatantly try to destroy institutions and established Departments of government that they are appointed over, that is also an abuse of power. There’s a proper way of doing things, of changing systems. Just going in to try to destroy or break it is not that proper way.

The American citizenry should not be fretting about what a president-elect will do to destroy a democratic society. They should simply not let it happen and refuse to go along with whatever the plan is for that destruction.

Neither Donald Trump nor his minions are kings or gods they are mere men; and in the American Society, elected officials are supposed to work for the good of the people, or they get removed and replaced.
