There Needs To Be Another Political Split and Shift

Me podcasting in an 'undisclosed' location😁

I had a few things I wanted to talk about today, concerning politics...so here we go...

First, Just as the real political changers moved away from the initial Republican party and moved into the Democratic Party (because they were more attune to making change happen); that shift needs to happen again.

Dr. King was not a Democrat or Republican.  Neither was Malcom.  And, neither should you be. You should be who you are and see who is working on your behalf and not just making empty promises.

To be fair, Biden has made a change in his earlier positions as a politician; but only because he was and is being pushed by progressives wanting more changes that were to the benefit of people.  Otherwise you would have the same "Nothing is going to fundamentally change" - Joe, as he said he would be before he was elected the first time.

I don't think parties do anything other than separate and divide people.  And also slow down and be a road block to those who want positive change for the masses.  If there is going to be an election that is concerning the government of all,  EVERYBODY who wants to have a say, should have a say.  The Democratic and Republican primaries are a joke! That is why people are disinterested.  They have been disenfranchised in the process!  Yet and still federal money is given to them, that comes from everybody.  That's not right.

We should have a general primary, based on Rank Choice Voting, and then the regular general election in November.

Next, "For The Least of These" should always be found in your chest of mottos if you claim to want to make laws and changes for the people.  Because if the poor are doing well, the rich should be too.

So if you hear anybody rich bitching and complaining about helping the less fortunate or paying their fair share of taxes, then look for somebody else to represent you.  And anybody preaching the unfettered "Free Market" sermon doesn't know history.  Businesses have always gotten help from the government.   And we, supposedly are the government.  So they should not have a problem with regular people also getting help from "the government".

So no, you really don't have a friend in either party, because, if you're not in one, they try to make it harder for you to participate in the voting process.  However, you should still make it a point to Vote!

It's the most direct way to get to the changes we want and need.  Stop voting for Republicans and people who want to take away your freedoms and rights; and start voting for people who are concerned with "…establishing justice, insuring domestic tranquility,  providing for the common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty…"; and all the other things.

Finally, if you want change, this is the year to do it, Now is the time.  We need smart, fair people in government.  Consider voting for Progressives and those who choose to be their allies.  Everybody else, let them go back to the free market that they love.
