My Travel and Gaming Journey –2nd Post; Finding Out I Can Use My Phone As a Game Controller

 

 

I am currently on a trip I decided to make to Massachusetts visiting one of my daughters before 2025 was done.   Yes, the cold, *dirty train and all.  And so far only a couple of hiccups, but it’s quite nice and I am glad I decided to take the trip.

But, this post is not about the trip per se; it’s about discovering that I can use my other phone as a game controller.  In all of my pared-down packing, I forgot to pack my game controller.  (I’m trying to make the processes of learning how to game and learning to code part of my routine—no matter where I am or decide to travel).

So, I had this brilliant thought.  Since I play Infinity Ops and other games on my phone, I wonder if I could use my phone as a controller for my computer… and the Googlers said—Yes.  I can.  🥳 So, I’m giving it a try.  

You pretty much load a dedicated app or program to on your phone to connect to your pc or console…and away you go!

Others have done it—so I know it works.  Here’s a link to the answers about my Google Search question.  I asked,  “Can you use your cellphone as a controller for cloud gaming on a PC?”  It listed a few specific apps like Monect and Steam Link… but there were other tools too.  If they work like they should, you will be able to use your phone as if you were using your controller! I thought it was cool and wanted to make a quick post to share. Hopefully in my next post, I’ll have some pics or something about the trip… who knows? 🤷🏾‍♂️ In any case, come back and visit soon!

Have y’all seen the White House lately?   It is truly sad that one baby-man with too much time on his hands, can’t find shit else to do but cause pain and destruction.  The White House looking crazy all because he wanted to add a ballroom that nobody asked for and definitely wasn’t approved by Congress. 

It is a testament of all the weaklings surrounding him in the Republican Party.  Day by day Trump’s government demonstrates its inability to actually govern.  And that is what we need to call it from now on to distinguish it. “Trump’s GOP government” aka “Trump GOP gubment”.  Because different from other administrations, his has a distinct brand of incompetence mixed with failure.

I recognize that there is some corruption in all administrations—but the Trump GOP gubment is grossly so. It is sad to see a nation with so much potential be so cruel because of power hungry--imbecilic

Things Democrats Can Do Right Now Without Republican Help

I was just listening to a few things on social media about things happening in the political realm. It is very odd that Republicans have control over everything; and yet have the gall to say Democrats are the cause of their lack of ability to govern.  It’s you Republicans.  You are the problem of your own incompetence.

 However, the thought did come to me to me that there are things Democrats can work on even without the help of Republicans. Things Democrats can do all by themselves.

Democrats can work on how they conduct their primary elections

Democrats can work on how they treat progressives and others who they need votes from and maybe, be more of an ally than a backstabbing coworker.  If you  know you are going to need votes from people out side of the party, then act like it.  Stop chasing votes from MAGA and other Republican voters that you'll most likely never get; and recognize those who your supporters are.

Democrats can work on introducing the concept of Ranked Choice Voting

Instead of under cutting progressives or Democratic Socialists who, for some reason, want to still be in the Democrat Party, maybe consider implementing Rank Choice Voting.  That way you can clearly get a

I am now 61… yay.   And over the years, I’ve tried dieting and if you are like many people, you know how that goes.   Even with the weight, I didn’t look that bad, because I did do some exercise and was roughly in shape from years of exercise and training in the military.  But, weight is weight, and it made me feel heavy.  

So, I’d go on these varied eating experiments to try to lose weight with little success. I then decided to just eat what I wanted proportionately.  And, because I like fruit, like apples, cucumbers and watermelon and such, I was in good health generally.  Still a bit over weight, but not a junk food junky (anymore).

2026 Elections Are Coming. Get Ready Now.

 

2026 Elections are about 14 months out.  Now is the perfect time to research, make sure you are registered and come up with a game plan for getting out to the polls.

As a matter of fact, now is the perfect time to let politicians, especially Republicans, know that you are not happy about their decisions and the current state of affairs.  Tell them you plan to vote them out and get rid of their policies.  That way, they’ll know and there won’t be any mistake or confusion as to why they lost.

Ok, I’m back!  Y’all miss me?  I took a break to recharge and get some new Ideas for the blog site.  There has been a lot happening, and some of the content might be a bit aged, but –it is what it is. 

For starters, I’ve taken the alternate site I used to try to gain advertisers and decommissioned it…again. Lol, I figure, if people want to support what I do, then they’ll support what I do on whatever platform I’m using.  So, here we are putting everything here again, all nice and cozy.

Next, I’ve started a few projects that I’m going to feature on my Youtube channel.  You’ll be able to access that also from this site.  I got a storage shed y’all 😌🤌🏾… and we are going to turn it into a freakin’ real live “Cabin” ✊🏾😁 …for the win!   I hope you’ll follow my journey.

I’ve also taken an interest in ‘gaming’ and cosplay.  Can you believe it?  So that is not on the menu.  And, I know I keep taking stabs at my podcast, and I’m going to keep doing it until I get it right.  And last but not least for this update, WE ARE GOING TO get back into commentary about politics and other things.

Everyday Donald Trump and His Enablers Should Be Afraid of Being Locked Up, and or Impeached

 

It is puzzling to me that Trump and his enablers (including Judges on the Supreme Court) don’t seem to realize that they will not be in office forever.  Every day, Trump and his band of fools and enablers should be sweating and looking over their shoulders wondering when they are going to be kicked out of office.

They should be afraid that the damage they have done and are doing will come back to make them regret every single act of injustice, cruelty, and grift.  And justice will come in such a way that no possibility of a Presidential pardon will we granted. For what they are doing to people, every state and jurisdiction will have standing to be charges for the people.

Republicans have twisted the law so wickedly and in such a way that merely following the regular nature of the law(s) will not be enough to correct the damage that has been done.  Therefore, it shall be

Black Folk and Progressives, Stop Waiting For People To Give You Permission

 

Hey y’all. I’ve been doing my new job as a watcher and listener.  There are a lot of great messages out there.  And, there are a few troubled voices.

Generally speaking, I want to encourage you all to move forward to make your own motion to add to the greater good.  For too long, I think Black folk and Progressives in general have been waiting for people to give permission to move.  So, we try to join larger groups before we take action. 

Though it is true that generally there is safety in larger numbers, there can also be greater confusion.   Two of my favorite verses in the Word (this particular reference being in the Bible) gives encouragement even if you don’t have the numbers.

The book of Joshua in 23:10 states, “One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.”  [Joshua 23:10] Meaning alone, one believing in the Word can send 1,000 enemies/demons fleeing.

Trump lied to Trump supporters again.  And they are the dumbest, most gullible people ever. Not only do they NOT own the libs, but they are also figuratively slamming the door on their own fingers!  Over, and over, and over again.  Then afterwards they hit their fingers with a hammer.  All while looking around thinking they are accomplishing their mission here in ‘Amerka’.  Look up fools, and there they are—wearing those red hats with pride.

This "Not Working for the Good of the People" Is Absolutely Nuts! Time for Recalls

So here we are pretending like we don’t know what to do.  I am absolutely disgusted at the way Trump and Republicans can just walk in, seemingly, and make rules and other shit up, then people do it--as if they don’t know their jobs nor read regulations.  People, YOU DON'T HAVE TO FOLLOW UNLAWFUL ORDERS!

I believe Trump and his Republican buddies are moving so fast because they know that half of the stuff they want to do is unlawful and they also know that they could more than likely be challenged about election results.  Because according to Trump himself, “it was rigged so that I [he] could win."

Since the numbers are so close in Congress (House and Senate)... why can't we do this?

1. Any state that can recall their conservative or Republican representative should do so; along with their state legislators. That could shift the balance to a more favorable representation for the people. 

2. Then it should be made known that any abuse of power will be documented, and those people

The Rules of Monopoly Should Apply To Millionaires and Billionaires…Personally.

 

Why don’t the monopoly laws apply to millionaires, billionaires, and sectors who would corner a market?  And why were the hedge fund folks allowed to buy up a large portion of the family housing stock? No one and no company should have that much power as to effect all of America.

These are the things we need to work on correcting in order to get power back to the people.  Donald Trump and his newfound friends like Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos are trying to form a billionaires club that tries to control everything right before our very eyes.  Things were definitely on the right track back when the rich people and corporations had to pay upwards of the 50% tax rate. 

They use most of the resources and get most of the assistance, so they should have to pay more. Things seemed to be more on an even scale.  If they don’t want to pay people their worth, then at least they could pay for services and common use things like roads, bridges and parks.  It is way past time that we
