| ChatGPT AI Image: "Too Relaxed" |
I’ve been hearing and seeing people on the internet(s) being very concerned to near anxiousness about the upcoming November 2026 midterm elections. Which, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, by the way, is ‘Election Day’ in the U.S.
Some are saying people are way too calm and disengaged at
this point of an election year. Yes, it is August 2026. And, November is right around the corner, but
maybe people already no what they are going to do. That is my hope. Maybe they are opting out of
all the frantic activities that go on and are avoiding all the lies told during
this time every election season.
My belief is—if politicians did their jobs, and kept their constituents informed, they would not have to worry about raising so much money to get re-elected. The work and progress made along with them reporting and telling them what they actually did, would speak for them. But nobody
seems to believe that would work. Although a simple explanation and graphics showing what they are doing as compared to what other people are doing and would want to do if they got elected might go a long way. They are right in a sense though. People do seem to be calm. Maybe it’s the calm before the storm of
voting out EVERY Republican that breathes air at this moment. Let them all go back to the private sector
that they love so much and enrich themselves there. Many seem to be working as
lobbyists for corporations right now anyway.
So, they should be fine.
And if that is the reason for the “calm”; then let it be so.
And let us all go calmly to the voting places in November and vote out all of
those who are trying to take away our rights; who are trying to do away with or
privatize social security; and who have voted for legislation that ruins our
environment and our economy. And those people
who would be voted out would be Republicans—across the board. I don’t hate ‘em…but I don’t have love for
them either. I want them to pack their shit, leave office, and go quietly into
the night—until the recalls start for them to come back and give testimony
before congress.
