I am now 61… yay. And
over the years, I’ve tried dieting and if you are like many people, you know
how that goes. Even with the weight, I
didn’t look that bad, because I did do some exercise and was roughly in shape from
years of exercise and training in the military.
But, weight is weight, and it made me feel heavy.
So, I’d go on these varied eating experiments to try to lose
weight with little success. I then decided to just eat what I wanted
proportionately. And, because I like
fruit, like apples, cucumbers and watermelon and such, I was in good health
generally. Still a bit over weight, but not
a junk food junky (anymore).
One day I discovered information about the Flexitarian diet. Turns out a lot of the things I was doing
was very in sync with the structure of the flexitarian diet plan. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables-- while enjoying eating fish, chicken and beef…and other proteins turned out to be the right balance for me. I encourage everyone to eat within a diet plan that is best for you and your body type. I believe everyone is different, and you have to eat the foods that are best for you. I say this because, some foods cause allergies for some people, while others are fine eating those same foods. So don’t be fooled into thinking you have to go by a diet that you see online or tv. So, with that—happy hunting! Live your best life!Below is a resource with more information about the
flexitarian diet. I hope it’s useful!
