So this article is going to be a rant. It's about returning to the people what belongs to the people-- equally. And first things first... The BEACH!
There was a time when people had a "thought" of equality; but now greed has taken over and things are out of alignment. The rich people seem to want everything for themselves and nothing for everyone else. This is where a proper dose of what's is called democratic socialism should be prescribed.
We cannot continue to let corporations and rich individuals rule.
I really find it appalling that people can go to other countries and even here, in the USA, and try to basically own beaches. Beaches belong to everybody. You can't just come in and buy land and then all of a sudden feel like you need to own the beachfront too. No. Beaches belong to all the people. Because you know what happens is every time there's a hurricane or some other kind of disaster they want somebody to come flocking to help bail them out.
So I say, there should be a new rule: When people build near waterfronts, a good 50 yards to that waterfront from the edge of the water (regardless to where the edge of the water moves to) belongs to the people.
You want to skirt the rules, then your house might just become a community center. Certain things should belong to everyone for enjoyment.
